Maryamah Ndao

Research Assistant/Lab Coordinator

Maryamah Ndao is a second-year Clinical Psychology student at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests focus on how cultural and intersectional identities impact mental well-being, particularly for those in Black, LGBTQIA+, and immigrant communities. Maryamah graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Africana Studies. Following the completion of her Master's degree, Maryamah intends to obtain a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, develop a psychotherapy practice, and contribute to the promotion of cultural competency and inclusivity in the mental health field.
