Alby Ungashe

Alby Ungashe is a first-year Master’s student in the Clinical Psychology program at Teachers College, Columbia University, and plans to pursue a Ph.D. After a successful career in creative and digital marketing, she made a worthwhile pivot to psychology, driven by a deep interest in mental health and community well-being. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Development Studies from UCLA, where her research explored identity politics and state formation in Ethiopia. Her current research interests focus on mental health, peacebuilding, and psychological support for second-generation Black immigrants.
